Survival function¶

Tels us the probability that a random variable will be greater than \(n\). This corresponds to the tail probability \(P(X \ge n)\).

Definiton¶

Mathematically the survival function

\[G(X) = 1 - P(X)\]

  • \(P(X)\) is the CDF of X
